Headbands of Hope was inspired by a summer internship at a wish-granting organization. During this time, the CEO, Jess Ekstorm, saw that a lot of kids loved waring headbands after losing their hair to chemotherapy, so she did a google search and realized there were no businesses donating headbands to kids with cancer. Jess started Headbands of Hope out of her dorm room in college with only two headbands. Today, Headbands of Hope has donated to every children's hospital, 22 countries, and 1 MILLION headbands to children with illnesses.
To quote Jess, "It isn't always easy, but it's always worth it."
